PlayNintendo Tour 2016 Recap

I had the chance to take my 5 year old to the PlayNintendo Tour which stopped at the South Shore Plaza this past weekend. As VIP's we were treated to dinner beforehand at California Pizza Kitchen where I tried the California Club Pizza which was pretty tasty and had bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, etc. on it - DELICIOUS!

We also had the chance to try out the new Nintendo 3DS XL system over dinner. We had some folks from nintendo (Anka and Mark) give us some details, it retails for $199.99 and can also stream netflix, connect to the online store and even has a 3D camera. I was too mesmerized by the 3D screen to try out the camera. Hopefully I'll get to play with it in the future.

They also announced the Nintendo 2DS which is available for $79.99 and has the same stuff - hulu, netflix, store, etc but is just a 2D screen. You can also get MarioCart 7 separately for $30.

It was cool to play around on social media and they even had a special filter for Snapchat!

The best thing? We got to play all of the games at the tour, got stickers on a play card which we got to trade in when it was full for a chance at winning a prize from a claw machine. Anyone who knows me knows I love a chance at a claw machine. ;)

Here's some photos from the event:

NOTE: We were provided with dinner and an experience for this review. We were able to try (but sadly not keep) the 3DSXL. Also, this post contains affiliate links. No other compensation was provided. All opinions are our own.
