The Red Sox, PawSox, Celtics and Revolution are all providing engaging content to keep youth moving!

Since the start of the stay-at-home quarantine we have all been living through for the past two months, we are adjusting to a new way of living in these uncertain times. Life has been upended and normal activities have come to a screeching halt. Something as simple as watching live sports either in person or on TV has been paused at both the local as well as professional level.

In New England, our beloved sports teams have embraced their digital communications even more and have created everything from a whole section of content dedicated to fun and educational activities as well as videos showing exercises you can do at home! • Jr. Celtics LIVE: The Jr. Celtics program is also offering live workouts on a weekly basis. Every Tuesday and Thursday, kids can virtually join Coach Sam as he hosts a fun, free interactive event for kids to sharpen their skills while distancing at home.

• Exercise videos you can do at home, hosted by Revolution players. Professional athletes are just like the rest of us right now – quarantined and using whatever they have around their home to stay fit. This video series features players demonstrating 1-2 minutes of drills for all ages to practice balance strength and footwork with items such as books, socks and shoes.

Enter the Revolution's “Play, Eat, Score” Contest for Youth Soccer Teams

Papa Gino’s and the New England Revolution are teaming up for a fifth consecutive year for the “Play, Eat, Score” contest. The contest awards five local New England youth soccer teams with the ultimate prize: a surprise visit from a Revolution player and a Papa Gino’s pizza party at their soccer practice.

“The Revolution are proud to once again partner with Papa Gino’s for the ‘Play, Eat, Score’ contest,” said New England Revolution President, Brian Bilello. “Papa Gino’s has been a fantastic supporter of the Revolution and we are excited to be able to work with them again to give some of our young fans a chance to meet and learn from their Revolution heroes while enjoying Papa Gino’s pizza.”

Teams can be nominated to win “Play, Eat, Score” by completing an entry form online at www.revolutionsoccer.net, the official website of the Revolution. Coaches, family members, and players are encouraged to enter their teams. Winners will be selected and awarded from May – June 2017.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and the New England Revolution and Major League Soccer are helping to “Kick Childhood Cancer” with their month-long initiative. Every sports team has their signature piece of sports memorabilia, and for soccer fans it’s their scarves, so get your #ScarvesUp during “Scarftember” to help raise money for the Children’s Oncology Group for childhood cancer research.

For every post on Twitter and Instagram using #ScarvesUp with a photo of any Revs scarf (or other MLS team) in the month of September, Major League Soccer will donate $1 to the Children’s Oncology Group, and one post will win a $250 gift card to MLSstore.com!

I got to play Bubble Soccer at the New England Revolution soccer game!

Last night I went back to Gillette to go the New England Revolution soccer game with my buddy, Yuval. As we were walking into the stadium, we walked by the fan zone and heard over the loud speaker "If you want to play Bubble Soccer, come to the stage" and we quickly signed up. Well, just before halftime we met the two other guys we were going to play against and put on the inflatable bubbles and then ran out onto the field. 

They promptly announced us on the loud speaker and then we started... We continued to "play" soccer for 3 minutes and I just tried not to fall down and end up flipped over. I was pretty lucky - not only did I not fall over, but I even scored a goal and with Yuval's goal, we ended up winning!
